See Exactly What's Wrong: Camera Inspection Meets Hydro Jetting

The camera shows you the real problem on a live screen. The hydro jetting fixes it for good. Here's why we pair them.

Here's the honest problem with hiring anyone to work on your drains: the pipe is underground and you can't see inside it. So when someone tells you it's roots, or a collapse, or that you need the expensive service, you're taking their word for it. That's how people get talked into work they don't need.

We do it differently. We put a camera down the line so you see what we see. No guesswork, no phantom problems, no upsell you can't verify with your own eyes.

Step one: a camera in the line, so nobody's guessing

A camera inspection sends a waterproof camera all the way down your drain or sewer line and puts a live picture on the screen. You watch it with us. If there's a root mass at 40 feet, you see the root mass. If it's just grease buildup, you see that too.

That does two things:

  • It finds the real cause, so we fix the actual problem instead of poking blindly at a symptom.
  • It keeps everyone honest. You're not paying for a diagnosis you have to take on faith. It's right there on the screen.

That transparency is the whole point. We'd rather show you the pipe and let the footage do the talking.

What the camera actually shows

Down a typical Boston-area line, the camera usually turns up one of these:

  • Tree roots working in through the joints of older clay or cast-iron pipe, common in leafy towns like Medford, Arlington, Winchester, and Lexington
  • Grease and scale coating the pipe wall, narrowing the line year after year
  • A sag or low spot where the line dips and collects debris
  • A crack or break that needs more than a cleaning

Whatever it is, you'll have seen it before we quote the fix.

Step two: hydro jetting, the fix that actually cleans the pipe

Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure water nozzle to scour the inside of the pipe clean, all the way around, front to back. It doesn't just punch a hole through the clog and leave the rest, the way a basic cable can. It clears roots, grease, and years of scale down to the pipe wall.

That's why jetting is the fix we recommend when the camera shows a coated or root-filled line: it's the difference between the clog coming back in a few months and the line running like new. For a stubborn, recurring, or whole-house slow drain, it's the service worth paying for.

When to call for this

A camera-and-jetting job is the right call when:

  • A drain keeps clogging no matter how many times it's cleared
  • More than one fixture is slow or backing up
  • You want to know the real condition of your sewer line, whether you're buying a home, dealing with recurring problems, or just done guessing
  • A basic snaking got you flowing again but you know the buildup is still in there

On cost: camera inspection and hydro jetting are premium services because they do more than a basic clear. We give you the price up front, after you've seen the problem on screen, so you decide with full information. Call for a free estimate.
